   So, you’d like to have me perform for you.  Now that can mean a lot of different things, but for the sake of this section, we’ll define a typical event (wedding reception, corporate party, etc.) as me with a band, which can be anything from a jazz combo (piano, bass and drums with the option of a horn player) to my “mini Big Band” which adds a 3 piece horn section onto the jazz combo, to an all out Big Band.

  Timeframe is generally about 3 hours (three 45 minute sets, with three 15 minute breaks).

  Beyond that, just about anything is negotiable.

  A few words about musical styles:  I do music from the classic swing and big band era, and I do a lot of tunes made popular by Frank Sinatra, and other vocalists of that milieu.  There are many fine bands that offer a variety of styles, from rock to salsa, but we do not.

  I only work with top musicians, professional sound technicians, and equipment. I work hard and expect those working for me to work hard as well.

 I can also provide a ‘Swing’ dance instructor, or dance demonstration (or both).  This has been very popular with wedding or corporate parties in the past.

Aaron Clarey is my preferred dance instructor.  We have worked together for many years. He is very active in the dance community, and teaches a regular schedule of dance seminars throughout the state.  Plus, he’s got that ‘look’.

You don’t want me:

  Understandable.  I am happy to book instrumental groups for your event.  Just a Piano player, Piano and Bass, Piano trio, etc.  The sound requirements for instrumental groups are much simpler, so contact me and we can arrive at a group and price.

  I can also book just a dance lesson, or class through Mr. Clarey.

  These are the basics, sometimes the situation calls for something different.  Just one set, at a special event, etc.  In those cases, we can discuss the specifics, and I can give you a quote.
